Unlimited Space

On the 15th of June Near Space photography gave Unlimited Space Agency a helping hand to launch their first high altitude balloon project.

The Unlimited Space Agency‘s mission is to inspire children in science and help train the next generation of scientists and space explorers. They design and deliver inspirational projects for children and young people aged 7-13 that increase engagement and levels of attainment with STEM subjects. They have a particular focus on promoting opportunities and positive role models for girls.

NSP helped Jon from USA to launch a high altitude balloon payload from the Met Office research facility at RAF Cardington in Bedfordshire. The flight was a success and the payload was recovered near Henlow, also in Bedfordshire. 10 students from Skyswood Junior school in St Albans took part in the project.
